I'll be on the road with two of my favorite people. I'm sorry I haven't mentioned it until now, but it seems I have been a bit distracted with house selling and hunting. Seems a house full of boxes and folders full of mortgage notes have kept me busy and unable to think about much else.
But this weekend, I'll put all of that behind me for a bit when Jenny from the Blog, Needlefingers and I head to The Fiber Event in Greencastle, Indiana. I'll be packing my bags and heading out Thursday, leaving my Cynical for three days on his own. He'll have a list of house stuff to do and I'll have a list of yarns and sundries to consider. The trip is a bit of a get-away, a bit of a belated birthday celebration with some knitting time, yarn perusal and instruction thrown in. I'm really looking forward to it, being in such good company and such.
In the meantime, we'll continue to pack up the house, keep it all tidy for potential buyers and cross our fingers. I must admit that it's nice emptying the place out a bit, makes it a bit more minimalist, but it makes me a little sad not to be surrounded by my books. They were some of the first things to go to storage, as they are the heaviest and I have so many, they made the biggest dent. For now we'll have boxes stacked in our den ready to move as well. It's a never ending process and we're trying to get ahead of the game. . . a jump so that if we do sell we can exit quickly and it won't interfere with our impending vacation. Let's hope the plan works and works well.
Whatever happens there will be a gap between selling and moving into a new place, so. . . my dear Cynical, most of our stuff and all of our cats will be in a one-bedroom apartment next to my parents' house. . . pray for all of us. (Note added: this would only encourage us to find a house and move to a safe distance. . . immediately.)

It's hard work, selling a house... and moving. Here's hoping it's over quickly, and you'll LOVE your new place!
Hope you have a great trip to Greencastle. My little rug hooking group just firmed up our plans last night-- I'm now at Anticipation Level 9.
