As you may or may not know, Cynical and I will soon be headed for a vacation with two of our favorite people, Needlefingers and Pilot.
In order not to drive them nuts with my incessant chatter about trivial things such as my planter's wart, road signage or the merits of giving Veronica Mars a chance, I thought I'd bring along some reading material and my MP3 player. Trust me, they will be grateful that I am easily entertained by these two things.
Problem is that I can't decide what book to take with me, something light, something intriguing, but something worth reading. Got any ideas?
And while you are at it, any songs I just gotta have on my MP3 player for travel? (For some reason I feel the need to find an MP3 of "Is She Really Going Out With Him?")
To further embarrass myself, I am all too excited that we'll be visiting Laura Ingalls Wilder's final home. I'm taking pictures and have threatened to wear a bonnet. I bet they are rethinking their choice of travel companions now. I also have big plans to eat my weight in sour apple licorice strips. You have been warned.

If you bring your bonnet, I will bring my camera and we will both be set.
Wear braided pigtails!
Are you going to LIW home in Missouri? I found an old book about her at used book sale when I thought I'd read everything. It tell about where Pa and Ma's families came from, and the early days before the books began.
Yes, she was one of my first loves. I have to wonder if young girls still feel that way about her books, her life, etc. My family indulged my desire to visit all the places in the books when we were young and it was great.
I've been downloading the American Idol songs I like as I hear them.
I am green with envy over the LIW homeplace. Hope you have fun!
Oh- stop by my house cause sadly I have that MP3. Sugar Ray of course...
