Too tired to type

Guess I've been absent a while, sorry about that. You see, we've been moving all of our crap from one place to another. And as simple as that might seem, well, it's a bit of an overwhelming task. More than once I considered setting it all in the front yard, inviting some friends over and having a huge bonfire and hotdog roast.

Thanks to the determination, generosity and strong backs of our loved ones, we've cleared out the old house and filled the new one. There's still the issue of that storage facility, but it will get attention soon enough. Special thanks to our dear friends who trekked from Illinois for a back-breaking weekend of moving, carrying and hauling. And I must tell you that even though getting that oak desk up the stair was a hassle, it sure does make for a cozy little office.

As tired and sore as I am, I am grateful. Not only grateful for the new house, studio space and a dishwasher, but for all of the help, patience, well wishes and good vibes those we love have given us. It's so nice to show someone through the new place and have them get excited for us.

I wish I could say we've gotten a chance to enjoy the house, but in all honesty, every moment has been taken up with moving, home improvement and collapsing in exhaustion.

Now it's a matter of finding a place for everything. It shouldn't be a problem focusing on organization, as we'll be without television until next week. It feels so odd to sit in our dorm room decorated living room (still waiting to choose a real couch) and look at a blank screen. It does prompt one to find something else to do, like organize knitting books, hang blinds or arrange canned goods. Imagine what we could accomplish without television altogehter.

Ah, the joys of moving. I know it's been a laborious week, I hope you've been drinking enough sweet tea to keep you hydrated.
How are the kitties enjoying their new territory? Have they explored every nook and cranny yet? Still cautious about what's around that corner?
We went almost 6 weeks w/o only 1 VERY fuzzy station when we moved here. It was hard at first, but I was almost sad when we finally hooked up the satellite. DVD's always work tho!

I'm so glad you're getting settled.

And please do not stress yourself out about unpacking. As Busha says, "It'll still be there tomorrow."
