Sunday morning: a new take

Sunday mornings have long been by far my very favorite time of the week. I think it's because there is an air of peacefulness about the day in general, particularly those first few hours.

I think that one of the perks of this house is that truly lends itself to a lazy-daisy morning. For instance, this morning we took a leisurely walk to Starbucks, where I sat and read my book while Cynical people-watched. My beloved, a supporter of the McDonald's empire, then persuaded me to walk up the block to golden arches where he nabbed some breakfast, walked to the ATM and then we meandered back to the house. I have big plans to head out to the screened in porch soon where I might read a bit more or knit. I might even venture into the yard and water our newly planted Lantana. For now I'll watch a the CBS Sunday Morning news, which I recorded while we were out walking.

Soon we'll knock out a few chores, but for now I am going to enjoy my new neighborhood, our new house and the new version of Sunday peace.

that's awesome that your new home is within walking distance to great places. It sounds like you had accomplished a lot in your early Sunday morning while remaining lowkey. Me? I didn't wake up till nearly 9am. But that's my kind of perfect Sunday.
