But who is counting, right?
Each Monday I do a little weekend in review to prove exactly how boring and nerdy my life is, but this time I am kinda stumped. I don't have anything to share. If forced to come up with a summary (and let's pretend someone is twisting my arm), here's what I got:
On Friday I left a little early to visit a yarn store in my area and guess what? I bought yarn. Yep, it's hard to believe, but there will not be a chilly neck in the tri-state area by the time I get done knitting this November. The storekeeper was ever so cool and there is a knitting group that meets there once a week. Hmmmmmm.
Lost Internet access at home on Friday night. Realized this when I tried to call up an e-mail confirming my Wal-Mart photo order which had, according to the photo clerk, never been received, never been seen and I must have imagined. Met Cynical for dinner, stopped by work to find said e-mail. Cynical made another call in an attempt to save me from Wal-Mart hell, but alas, even he couldn't charm the photos out of them. An evening of laundry and house cleaning did aid in wiping away the memory of the rude clerk.
On Saturday we slept late and I knitted. . . all. . . day. . . long. Oh, and I felted the bag. I had made some scarves earlier and upon finding yarn that I liked much better, I decided to remake some. Hence the knitting marathon on Saturday. We vegged like broccoli all day and I am not ashamed of it. I wouldn't change a thing.
After a late night run to Target with my parents in a smoke and tension filled car, we settled in for some Saturday Night Live and more snoozing.
On Sunday I actually had a plan of action: places to go and people to see. I went to an open house with my dear friend Queen of Cool. I even sported my keyhole scarf which did not match my shirt. After much shopping restraint and an incredible welcome from her family, I headed home with home-made desserts in hand. (Nobody does it like Queen of Cool.)
After more knitting, washing the boogie bag for the fourth time, I finally settled in for some quality television and Monday morning preparation.
I told you it was boring, but you read it anyway.

Your bag turned out absolutely fabulous, dahling! I took a little looksie at the pattern. I'd love to give it a go, but have no idea what "picking up stitches" and "knit twisted" mean. If I can figure that out, I'm on it!
My knitting guru steered me away from twisting, so it was a breeze. Trust me, picking up stitches reminded me of crocheting a little bit. I just posted a completed photo with professionally installed grommets. Oooh, aren't I cool?
