As you may know, I have joined Project Spectrum. It's an idea cooked up by blogger, Lolly, in an effort to spur us to try using new colors in our crafting. March's focus is red and pink.
I have to admit that I am not off to a good start. I don't wear a lot of red or pink, so I haven't knitted much in either color. And, since I am just jumping into this, I felt neglectful setting aside my current projects begun well before I knew about the project.
As a bit of a jumpstart, I shot several pink and red themed photos yesterday. I am posting them here as inspiration. Wish me luck.
The first photo is of a jar in the kitchen where I keep my scrap yarn. I wind it up in tiny little balls and toss them in their as my own quirky decoration. Here you can see some pinks and oranges showing through.
The second photo shows just a smidgen of my Fiestaware collection. I have cabinets and bins full of the stuff. I pulled the pinks, reds and burgundies out of the cabinets and shot the photograph shown here.
The last photo is a vintage apron now hanging in our back entry. I bought it years ago at a thrift store and still love it.

I love the yarn jar! And I wondered about the fiestaware...you always seem to have a plate to match each dish cloth (finished projects).
Me, too!! I can imagine how cool all the yarn balls will look in one big jar. Would you mind if i borrowed your wonderful idea?
