Rainy, lazy Thursdays

It's our last day in Springfield and instead of running around like mad folk, we've decided to let the rain and illnesses take us over and we're hanging out at the inn. We made a good effort this morning after our mmmmmmm breakfast here at the inn, but now we're tucked safe and sound in the attic space. The boys are sleeping and the girls are interneting.

After breakfast this morning, we ventured out for a little geocaching, but came up empty and decided to peruse downtown instead. A visit to a bookstore, a stop at Global Fayre and a few other excursions later and we were home for the long haul.

Lisa, of One City Market in Rogersville, had offered to bring her shipment of Spunky Eclectic to us at the inn for our consideration. Does it get any better than that? Yarn being delivered to you at an inn, by the owner of the shop, particularly if said owner is one of the coolest and "eclectic" people a girl could meet. Seriously, she rocks. (And that's high praise, as you'll recall, she's in good company ie Laura Ingalls Wilder.) So, after a lunch from Garbo's Pizza, delivered to us by our own Needlefingers, we both sat in the lobby with Lisa, gabbing, feeling fiber and getting to know each other. I think we actually kept her hostage for nearly two hours. There's no better way to spend a rainy afternoon. It's not often that you find like minds. . . and you gotta exploit them while you have the time. Thanks, Lisa. You do rock. And so glad you don't get the sister-wife cult either; I would have been afraid if you did.

Sadly we'll be leaving tomorrow; I hesitate to even start packing. . . I don't want to admit it's so.

Cool little bookstore downtown. Awesome green couch where I could easily lose hours of my life.

NOT the yarn I purchased, but the yarn we got to fondle at will during Lisa's visit.

And the feeling is mutual about you girls...had a ball...can't think of any other way and in any other company that I'd rather spend my second day off ever since I opened the shop. The only thing better would have been if those d**m cookies had been finished baking (if I felt better I'd be in the kitchen now baking some), it's all I'm gonna think about until I get one.

I'm glad too that none of us got the sister-wife think either, let's just stay sister-knitters okay?

Enjoy the yarn as much as I do, wear the tees wrapped in good memories from your trip, knit with no stress (private joke huh). Stay in touch. Lisa
