Hanging out in a Nashville hotel

On Friday, in the midst of all of my whining about my back, I got another installment in my craft trade. Celestial made the most incredible felted pin cushion in exchange for a knitted dishcloth and Tribble of her very own. I, once again, came out waaaaay ahead. It's so adorable that I can't quit admiring it. The colors. . . the workmanship. . . the sweet button. So nice. And she even added a few adorable note cards also. You guys rock. This trade has been so much fun.

So, I'm in Nashville, hanging out in the hotel. I left later than I had expected, but got here in time to check into the hotel, walk down to the conference location, sit a spell and attend a reception. My, oh, my, how I hate networking.

My back sent me back up the hill to my hotel room where I am tucked away safe and sound, knitting on a sock and watching television. (Did I tell you I packed my heating pad. . . I am my grandmother.)

Wanna know a secret? I completely unpack whenever I travel. I need to make it feel like home as much as possible. I even like to put my clothes in the drawers.

And you know what? I miss my Cynical. He waved at me whenever I drove away. Broke my heart.

Shot of the adorable pin cushion and a pic of a fountain in downtown Nashville.

Cute pincushion and great fountain!! I'll admit I have an unnatural attachment to my heating pad. I love it. Hope you get to head home soon!

Yay, v. cute pincushion!
I almost always completely unpack, too. It's easier than trying to ruffle through a suitcase.
That's so sweet that he waved as you drove away!

Love the pincushion. Do you think there's a pattern somewhere for it? It looks fairly easy but I am curious. Hurry home!
