Why is it that I get so excited about some time off? I love my job. I love my co-workers. It's just the mere idea that my time is my own. I don't have to answer the phone. I don't have to be up and out of the house by 7:30 a.m. I don't have to even don clothing until 2 p.m. if I so choose.
I think it's about freedom. It's about being the master of your own time.
I have no plans for my Good Friday. I suspect I will attempt to sleep late, take some time to brew tea when I finally trudge down the stairs. I may take some knitting outside and bask in the sun while I whittle away at my projects.
I may venture to eat lunch with a friend or perhaps visit the used book store or maybe those little shops of junk scattered around town. Who knows, inside I may find treasures I never expected like an old metal fan, rare Fiestaware or maybe vintage hats.
The day is mine, all mine.
